Troubleshooting
● Have qualified personnel do maintenance and troubleshooting work.
● Stop the engine before doing any work inside the machine. If for any reason the machine must be operated while working inside, pay attention moving
parts, hot parts (exhaust manifold and muffler, etc.) electrical parts which may be unprotected when the machine is open.
● Remove guards only when necessary to perform maintenance, and replace them when the maintenance requiring their removal is complete.
● Use suitable tools and clothes.
● Do not modify the components if not authorized.

The motor does not start up, or

ATTENTION
Possible cause
1) Lack of fuel in tank or fuel tap closed
2) Fuel filter clogged
3) Air leaks in fuel system
4) Battery not activated, low or faulty
5) Battery cable terminals loose or corroded
6) Motor stopping device defective (solenoid)
7) Other causes
1) Air or fuel filter clogged
2) Overload
GENERATOR
1) Protection tripped due to overload
2) Insulation monitor device tripped
3) Protection devices defective
4) Alternator not sparked
5) Alternator defective
6) Faulty AVR
7) AVR fuse blown
1) Incorrect motor running speed
2) Alternator defective
3) AVR out of calibration
4) Faulty AVR
1) Incorrect motor running speed due to over-
load
2) Load with cos ϕ less than the nominal one.

ENGINE
1) Refill the tank. Open the fuel tap
2) Replace
3) Check the feeding circuit
4) Activate, recharge, or replace the battery
5) Tighten and clean. Replace if corroded.
6) Replace
7) Consult the motor Operating Manual.
1) Clean or replace filter element(s).

2) Check the connected loads and if recessary reduce

1) Check the load connected and diminish
2) Check on the generating set and on the entire
installation: cables, connections, utilities connected
have no defective sheathing

manual. Ask for intervention of Service Department
