Basic channel presetting:

Press the MENU button ( (MM) twice to call up the Page-2 Menu.
(The following operation can be performed while any of the on-screen
Menu Pages (Page-1, Page-2 or Page-3) is displayed.)

Select the channel you wish to programme using the CHANNEL access but-
tons.

Tune to a broadcast directly or with the Auto Search function.
e@ Auto Channel selection:
Press "1" (1. Search ~) or "2" (2. Search +). The selected item turns
magenta colour during search.
The Programme Channel number and Real Channel number indications
turn magenta and green colour, respectively.
"1. Search -" changes Real Channel numbers in descending order.
"2. Search +" changes Real Channel numbers in ascending order.
Note:
If search operation beyond the highest frequency is attempted, the fre-
quency cycle restarts, beginning with the lowest-frequency channel, and
continues
in ascending
order. The same
is true for reverse search:
Beyond the lowest frequency, the cycle restarts, beginning with the high-
est frequency, and continues in descending order.
e Direct channel selection:
Press the PR/CH/CC button to engage the Real Channel mode. (indication:
CH - — or CC- -) Then, press the numeric keys (be sure to entera
2-digit
number) corresponding to the Real Channel that you wish to tune to. (CH
02 - CH 69/CC01 —- CC41 and CC75 - CC79)

Perform fine tuning, if necessary.
@ Fine tuning operation:
Press "3" (3. Fine -) or "4" (4. Fine +) to obtain a clearer picture.
The selected item turns magenta colour.
The "3. Fine —" adjusts to a slightly lower frequency. (The Fine tuyimg bar
scale moves left.)
The "4, Fine +" adjusts to a slightly higher frequency. (The Fine tuyimg bar
scale moves right.)
