2.10 M.2_SSD (NGFF) Module Installation Guide

The M.2, also known as the Next Generation Form Factor (NGFF), is a small size and
versatile card edge connector that aims to replace mPCIe and mSATA. The M.2_SSD
(NGFF) Socket 3 can accommodate either a M.2 SATA3 6.0 Gb/s module or a M.2 PCI
Express module up to Gen 3 x2 (10Gb/s).
The M.2 socket (M2_1) is shared with the SSATA_0 connector. If you install a M.2 SATA module to the M.2
Socket (M2_1), the internal SSATA_0 will not function (and vice versa). The M.2 socket (M2_2) is shared with
the SSATA_1 connector. If you install a M.2 SATA module to the M.2 Socket (M2_2), the internal SSATA_1 will
not function (and vice versa).
