Generator set operation. Carbon monoxide can cause severe nausea, fainting, or death. Carbon monoxide is an odorless,
colorless, tasteless, nonirritating gas that can cause death if inhaled for even a short time. Avoid breathing exhaust fumes when
working on or near the generator set. Never operate the generator set inside a building unless the exhaust gas is piped safely
outside. Never operate the generator set where exhaust gas could accumulate and seep back inside a potentially occupied building
or vehicle. Do not obstruct the exhaust outlet when parking your vehicle. The exhaust gases must discharge freely to prevent carbon
monoxide from deflecting into the vehicle.
Carbon monoxide symptoms.
Carbon monoxide can cause severe nausea, fainting, or death. Carbon monoxide is a poisonous gas present in exhaust
gases. Carbon monoxide is an odorless, colorless, tasteless, nonirritating gas that can cause death if inhaled for even a short time.
Carbon monoxide poisoning symptoms include but are not limited to the following:
Light-headedness, dizziness
Physical fatigue, weakness in joints and muscles
Sleepiness, mental fatigue, inability to concentrate or speak clearly, blurred vision
Stomachache, vomiting, nausea
If experiencing any of these symptoms and carbon monoxide poisoning is possible, seek fresh air immediately and remain active.
Do not sit, lie down, or fall asleep. Alert others to the possibility of carbon monoxide poisoning. Seek medical attention if the condition
of affected persons does not improve within minutes of breathing fresh air.

The 3APU- HC heating and cooling system can be operated by means of the controls located on the evaporator unit, according to
the settings and procedures described in the paragraphs under Section 3.7 Operating Instructions.

Operating Instructions

Control equipment and commands
The control panel on the 3APU- HC system has been designed to handle the heating and cooling of

special vehicles where the power is supplied by the diesel engine. In addition to it's normal heating and cooling
description of
functions it also supervises and controls correct function of the diesel engine. It can also monitor
control device
battery voltage, and, if necessary, recharges the battery automatically after a manual reset with the
POWER/REC.BATT Main Switch. See Section 3.8 .Description of Keypad Functions.
Switching ON and OFF: Activates and deactivates the 3APU- HC.
Enables you to choose between cooling, fan only, and heating modes.
Operating Mode:
Allows you to direct and open + - the fins located on the evaporator.
Fan Power Control:
Ventilation Control:
Allows controlling the speed of the air emitted in the environment by turning the three speed selector switch.
