REMOTE CONTROL UNIT
| When the CD/CLD/SYSTEM switch @ is on the SYSTEM side.
BAND:
Switches between AM and FM broadcast bands.
MONO:
Switches between STEREO and MONO reproduction during
FM stereo reception.
1-12 buttons:
Use to recall FM and AM stations memorized in station
memory.
SCAN button:
Press to perform the tuner memory scan operation.
When the CD/CLD/SYSTEM switch @ is on the CD/CLD side.
Operation buttons can be used to operate the CD/CLD player.
PGM:
Use this when you want to enjoy CD/CDV/LD programed
play.
ST/L/R:
Use to select the channel of a stereo disc, or the voice chan-
nel on a multiplex disc.
CHP/TM (CHAPTER/TIME):
These buttons function as track number buttons during
CD/CDV play, or as chapter number buttons during LD play.
CLEAR:
Use to clear programs.
@® TAPE I/CLD operation buttons

Buttons operate the TAPE | deck.

DIRECT ON/OFF:
Set this button to ON to listen to music sources directly,
without their being passed through the sound field proces-
sor circuits. When
set to ON, only the spectrum
analyzer
will light in the sound field processor display.
GEO FLAT:
When this button is pressed, the graphic equalizer tonal pat-
terns are ali returned to their flat (normal) positions.
CENTER MODE:
Use to select the center mode when using DOLBY PRO
LOGIC SURROUND,
The mode switches between NORMAL and PHANTOM each
time you press it.
TEST TONE:
Used in conjunction with DOLBY PRO LOGIC or DOLBY 3CH
LOGIC noise reduction.
Use to switch the test tone for level adjustment of each
channel ON and OFF.
BASS SYN. (SYNTHE) ON/OFF:
Use to switch the bass emphasis circuit ON and OFF.
BASS SYN. (SYNTHE) LEVEL +, -:
When the BASS SYN. (SYNTHE) button is set to ON, the +
and - buttons can be used to adjust the amount
of bass
emphasis.
CENTER LEVEL +, -—
Use to adjust center speaker level.
EFFECT SELECTOR:
SFC LEVEL/DELAY +, -:
Use to adjust the SFC level and delay time.
REAR LEVEL +, -:
Use to adjust surround (rear) speaker level.
