Water safety valve efficiency check
The efficiency of the water safety valve is very important for
preventing overpressures inside the tank (damaging it) and allows
safe use of the appliance. Periodically check the efficiency of the
water safety unit by following the manufacturer's instructions. When
checking, also clean and remove any scale.
Emptying the appliance
In case of prolonged absence it is advisable to completely empty the
appliance. In this case, please proceed as follows:
- Switch off the power and close the main water supply.
- Open a hot water tap to allow the entry of air.
- Turn the emptying lever of the water safety valve (fig.3.2 & fig. 3.3)
to the draining position.
- Make sure the water safety unit discharge union is connected to a
drain as provided for in (fig. 3.3). The electric connection can be
reset only after a new filling.
Control / Replacement of anode
This function is very important for protecting the tank against
corrosion caused by stray currents or the aggressiveness of the
water. Wear is proportional to the protection work carried out and
the quality of the water inside. Make sure to check its efficiency at
least every two years or in any case according to the quality of the
water. Protection efficiency is linked to its integrity. When checking,
also check wear, replace if excessively worn or insufficient to
guarantee protection until the next foreseen control.
IMPORTANT: Remember that damage caused by excessive
anode wear (insufficient tank protection) is not due to
manufacturing defects and is therefore not covered by the
warranty.
