• The projection W is equippedwith a self-diagnosis function. If there is a problem with your projection W, the TIMER/STAND BY indicator on the front
panel will flash repeatedly.Counting the number of flashes helps you inform qualified Sony personnelof the projection W's condition.
• Press POWERon the projection TVto turn it off, then inform qualified Sony personnel or the above Direct ResponseCenterof the number of flashes.
• Make sure the power cordis plugged in.
• Operatewith the buttons on both the projection TV and the remote control.
• Checkto see if the iV/VIDEO setting is correct: when watching TV, set to rv, and when watching video tapes, set to VIDEO1, 2, 3, 4 or 5.
• Try anotherchannel. It could be station trouble.
• Perform AUTOSETUP again using the SETUP button to return to the factory preset condition. (see"To perform AUTOSETUPagain" on page 20)
• The ParentalControl feature is activated, (see"To deactivatethe ParentalControl feature" on page 41)
• Batteriescould be weak.Replacethe batteries,
• Press TV (FUNCTION) w hen operating your projection TV.
• Make sure the projection TV's power cord is connected securelyto the wall outlet.
• Locate the projection TVat least3-4 feet away from fluorescent lights.
• Checkthe S-Link connection. (see"Using the S-Link Function" on page 16)
• Checkthe polarity of the batteries.
• Adjust "Picture" in the Video menu. (see "Picture Adjustment" on page 30)
• Adjust "Brightness" in the Video menu. (see"Picture Adjustment" on page 30)
• Checkantenna/cableconnections.
• Perform AUTOSETUPagain using the SETUP button to return to the factory preset condition. (see"To performAUTOSETUP again" on page20)
• Adjustthe convergenceagain using the FLASHFOCUSbutton. (see "Adjusting the ConvergenceAutomatically (FLASHFOCUS)"on page 20)
• Press MUTINGso that "Muting" disappearsfrom the screen. (see "MUTING" on page21)
• Checkthe "MTS/SAP" setting in the Audio menu. (see "MTS/SAP" on page 31)
• Make sure "Speaker" is setto "On" in the Audio menu. (see "Speaker" on page32)
• Perform AUTOSETUPagain using the SETUP button to return to the factory preset condition. (see"To perform AUTOSETUP again" on page20)
