SECTION 2: INSTALLATION

2.9.3 Electrical Power Panel Internal Components

Remove the front panel to access the Power Panel. Run the electrical service through the opening above
the Power Panel and make the connections to the Power Breaker in accordance with the Power Panel
cover label (see Figure 2-9, above).
The power breaker does NOT remove power from the terminal blocks. When servicing the unit, power down
the external disconnect switch (see section 2.9.2) to ensure power is removed from the boiler.

NOTE: All components in the Power Box are mounted on a DIN rail. All electrical conduit and hardware must
be installed so that it does not interfere with the removal of any unit covers, inhibit service/maintenance, or
prevent access between the unit and walls or another unit.
2.10 Field Control Wiring – I/O Board
Each unit is fully wired from the factory with an internal operating control system. No field control wiring
is required for normal operation. However, the Edge Controller allows for some additional control and
monitoring features. Wiring connections for these features are made on the I/O board located behind the
removable front panel. All field wiring is installed from the rear of the panel by routing the wires through
one of the four bushings provided on the sides of the I/O board.
