Convenient Ways to Use
the Key
Auto re-lock function
Both doors and the fuel-filler lid are
locked automatically if any of the
following operations are not
performed within about 60 seconds
after they are unlocked by pressing the
unlock button.
Open any door or trunk lid.

The vehicle power is switched to any

position other than off.
NOTE
The time until the door is automatically
locked can be changed.
Set in the Mazda Connect "Settings" or
consult an Authorized Mazda Dealer.
Power Saving Function
By turning on the power saving
function of the key, the advanced
keyless entry and the function to start
the engine without removing the key
from a pocket or purse/case are
turned off, and the battery power
consumption of the key can be
reduced.
The remote control function is still
operational by pressing a button on
the key even while the power saving
function is turned on. However, the
remote operation indicator light does
not turn on or flash.
Turning on the power saving function
1. Press the lock button on the key 4
times within 3 seconds.
The key operation indicator light
turns on.
