The warning will sound if the driver changes
lanes without operating the turn signal.
If the vehicle is parked in the sun for an
extended period of time, LDW may not
operate immediately after the vehicle is
started, but this is normal. The camera will
resume operation once the temperature
around the camera has returned to a normal
level.
LDW alerts will be temporarily disabled in
the following situations:
One of the turn signals is on
The steering wheel is turned with a force
necessary to make a lane change
When driving on sharp curves
The vehicle speed is below approximately
60 km/h (37 MPH)
When lane markers can not be recognized
by the dual (stereo) camera
Immediately after an LDW warning has
been issued (The system will remain off
for a few seconds after a warning has
been issued and then reactivate on
its own.)
LDW Failure
If LDW detects a problem, one or more of
the following DIC warning/indicator lights
will illuminate to indicate that LDW is not
operational.
