North America,
or
Australia. (Provided only on models stamped "Z/E" on packing case.}
The AM/FM
channel step switch is located on the rear panel of the digital syn-
thesizer tuner. Before the tuner leaves the factory, this switch is set to the chan-
nel allotment plan of the area in which the tuner is sold. When the TUNING
switch is given a single push, the frequency display will change in the following
units,

NOTE:
«ff the TUNING switch is held in the depressed position,
the traquency
display will change continuously and stop when the switch is rejeased.
© if the switch is set to the wrong position, correct tuning will not be possi-
ble.

your area.

This unit is provided with an automatic tape selector function.

This unit is a forwerd mode priority auto-reverse deck. Both recording and
playback always start in the forward direction.
If you press the STOP/EJECT (1/4 ) switch during reverse playback, the
head for forward playback will be reselected automatically.

Reverse play
Continuous playback is automatically stopped after 8 round trips. Note that it
will be counted as one reversal if the tape direction is changed using the direc-
tion switch. (One round trip will be counted if the switch is pressed twice.)

Direction switch/indicator {DIRECTION}
Depress to set the playback direction of the playback-only deck. Direction
change can only be performed during playback.
