Extended Relay Playback
Extended relay playback lasting 8 hours is possible when C-60 tapes are used,
and playback lasting 12 hours is possible when. C-90 tapes are used and the
reverse mode switch for both decks is set to the (C_>) position.
Press the POWER switch to turn power on.
Load pre-recorded tapes in both decks.
Set the reverse mode switch for Deck | and Deck II.

4, Search for the start of the first desired program on the tapes in deck | and

5. Press the PLAY ( €*} } switch on the deck to be started first
* Playback starts.

Press the PLAY { €+} } switch on the other deck.
* This deck is now set to the relay playback stand-by mode and will start
playback when the deck started first stops or is set to the pause mode.
7. Relay playback will zake place according to the method selected in step 3,
after which both decks will stop automatically.

8. To stop relay playback, press the STOP/EJECT ( 8/&
} switch on both
decks.

Mixing involves combining the signals from two input sources {a microphone
and a tape, for exampie}.

1. Plug a microphone into the MIC jack.

Press the POWER
switch to turn power on.
3.
Adjust the volume to a suitable level.
4.
Set the MIC MIXING control to the center position.

Because both MIC and SOURCE
inputs are controlled together by the mix-
ing function, the mixing control can also be used as a manual fader when
recording.
+ Fading refers to the recording technique in which the volume of an input
source is gradually increased or decreased.

You can use the mixing feature to record input from a microphone and another
source together.
1. Perform steps 1 to 8 in the section "SINGING ALONG WITH A TAPE."
2. Load a tape for recording into record/play deck
3. Press the REC { @ } switch on record/play deck.
4. Sing along with the program source
