Serial and I/O port interfaces
The pins of the serial interfaces RS232 and RS485 are connected, together with the I/O interface,
physically to the 10-pin terminal on the left side of the device. None of the 3 interfaces are isolated
from the router. The pin assignment of this plug connection is described in Figure 11 and in Table 9
and Table 10.

NOTICE
We recommend connecting a terminal resistor outside the router. Without a terminal resistor, signal
reflections from the non-terminated end of the cable can cause data corruption. Terminal resistors
also reduce sensitivity to electrical noise due to the lower impedance.
