Changing the Counter Display Mode
By changing [C.DISPLAY] on the [DISPLAY SETUP] Sub-
Menu, you can change the Counter Display Mode to Tape
Counter Indication (0:00.00), Memory Counter Indication
(M0:00.00), and Time Code Indication (0h00m00s00f).
e You also can press the [COUNTER] Button of the Remote
Controller repeatedly to change the Counter Indication.
W Displaying Date/Time Indication
To display Date/Time Indication, set the appropriate date/
time in [DATE/TIME] on the [DISPLAY SETUP} Sub-Menu.
You also can press the [DATE/TIME] Button of the Remote
Controller repeatedly to display or change the Date/Time
Indication.
e You also can press the [DATE/TIME] Button of the Remote
Controller repeatedly to display or change the Date/Time
Indication.
Wi Changing the Display Mode
By changing [DISPLAY] on the [DISPLAY SETUP] Sub-
Menu, Counter Display Mode changes to All Function
Display, Partial Display, and Minimum Display.
Warning/Alarm Indications
lf any one of the following indications lights up or flashes,
please check the condition of the Palmcorder.
EJECT TAPE:
After the [DEW DETECTED]
Indication appears, eject the
Cassette.
gy CHECK REC TAB : The erasure prevention tab on the
inserted Cassette is open (that is,
set to [SAVE}).
When you are attempting to do
audio dubbing on the unrecorded
(biank) portion of the tape, or you
are attempting to do dubbing
(3 33, 40, 41) on the Cassette
whose tab is set at [SAVE].
a TAPE NOT INSERTED:
No Cassette is inserted. (+ 13)
[25 LOW BATTERY:
The Battery is low. Recharge it.
ea CANNOT REC :
(> 12)
ES:
The internal lithium battery is low.
(3 19)
es END/TAPE END:
The tape came to end during
recording.
REMOTE/
CHECK REMOTE MODE:
Wrong Remote Controller Mode has
been selected. (-> 11)
CANNOT REC LP-MODE:
Because the original recording was
done in LP Mode, audio dubbing
cannot be performed. (-» 33)
INCOMPATIBLE DATA:This Cassette is incompatible or
containing copy-guard.
Because the medium is protected by
a copy guard, images cannot be
recorded correctly.
INCOMPATIBLE TAPE:When an incompatible Cassette is
detected, this Indication will appear
for approxmately 5 seconds.
CT]:
If this Indication appears, return the
LCD Monitor to the origina! position
in order to check the specific content
of the Warning/Alarm Indication.

AV INPUT RECORDING:
When you are attempting to record
on the Memory Card during dubbing
(=> 40) on the Cassette.
NO CARD:
There is no Memory Card inserted.
PLEASE WAIT:
When reading of the Memory Card
(playback, format, when using the
Multi-Picture Function).
(> 35, 36, 39)
CARD ERROR:
The Memory Card is not compatible
with the Palmcorder.
CARD DOOR OPENED:
Card Slot Cover is opened. After
insert the Memory Card correctly,
close the Card Slot Cover.
CHANGE TO TAPE MODE:
When you are attempting to record
on the Memory Card in the Card
Playback Mode. Change to the VCR
Mode or slide the [TAPE/CARD]
Selector to [TAPE].
CHANGE TO CARD MODE:
When you are attempting to record
on the Cassette in the VCR Mode.
Change to the Card Playback Mode
or slide the [TAPE/CARD] Selector
to [CARD].
When you are attempting to delete a
locked picture. The locked picture
cannot be deleted.
WRITE PROTECTED:
When you are attempting to write
the data on an SD Memory Card
whose write protection switch is set
FILE LOCKED:
at [LOCK].
NO PICTURE:
There are no pictures in the Memory
Card.
NO TITLE:
There are no titles in the Memory
Card.
NO SPACE LEFT:
When a still Picture is transferred
from a Cassette to an already full
Memory Card.
CHANGE TO 640x480: Titles cannot be displayed.
(3 37) Set to the [640x480].
x:
Pictures of a different format or
damaged pictures are being played
back. (=+ 35)
UNABLE TO WRITE:
If you are attempting to record the
title multi screen on the Memory
Card in the Camera Mode or VCR
Mode.
PUSH THE RESET SWITCH:
if this Indication appears, press the
[RESET] Button (-» 9).
NEEDS TO BE SERVICED:
if this Indication appears, take the
Palmcorder to a service center for
repair. (> 63)
U10:
Wait until the [DEW DETECTED]
Indication disappears. ( 55)
DEW DETECTED:
Condensation has occurred. (> 55)
U11:
Clean the Video head. (> 55)
@ NEED HEAD CLEANING:
The video heads are dirty. (> 55)
