NOTE
• Store the battery in a place where children cannot reach. Ifa child accidentally

Donot recharge, short, disassemble or heat the battery, or disposeof it in a
fire.

Speaker layout
Installthe speakers on a fiat and levelsurfaceto ensurethe bestsoundquality.
• Thesoundmay beaffected dependingon the locationinwhich you install
them. Toavoidsuchissues, c hangethe locationandorientation of the
speakers.
• Installthe speakers leavingan appropriatedistancebetweenthem.
• If you install the speakers nearthe TV,colordistortion may occur.Toprevent
this,turn off the TV'smain poweror unplug it beforeinstalling the speakers.
Waitat least30minutes beforeturning on the TV'smainpower again.
• If the TVisstill affected,movethe speakers further away.

• To obtain the bestpossible
sound from the System,
install aRspeakers except the
subwoofer at the same distance,
from the Rstening position. See
the typical installation next.

Installing
on the
wall
Youcaninstall the centerunit and surroundspeakers*onthe wall,

B: Maximum10mm
C: Maximum 6 mm
D: O4 mm (screw diameter)
CAUTION
• Thecenterunitweighsappmximately3.Skg(7.SIbs)andthesurround
speakers* weighs approximately 0.5 kg (1.3 Ibs)each. Sufficient caremust
be taken when installing them on the wal!toprevent any accidents causedby
their falling oK
• Usescrewswhicharecompatiblewiththestrengthandmateria!ofthepiRaror
wal!to prevent the center unit and surroundspeakers* from fallingo
• DonotinstaRthe center unitandsurroundspeakers* onto aplywoodor
plasterboard wal!;otherwise, they wiRfaR and sustain damage.
• WheninstaRingthecenterunitandsurroundspeakers*onthewaR;
Besure to have them installed on the wal! by qualifiedpersonneL
Caremust be taken when selecting a locationfor installation on the wal!.
Injurytopersonnel or damage to equipment may result if the installed units
interferewith daily activities.
ACadaptor should not behanging/put above of any other items. It is
acceptableto place the ACadaptor on the flat floor only.
Recommended mounting surface: Wooden studs. If the mount isto be
installedon any surface other than wooden studs, use suitable hardware
(which is commerciallyavailable).

CAUTION
• Donot instaf! the surround speakers in a place where they may interferewith
daily activities. Injurytopersonnel or damage to equipment may result if the
surround speakers are installedin such a place.
Connecting external components
Youcanconnectanalogcomponents to the ANALOG terminal and digital
componentsto the DIGITAL 1 and DIGITAL 2 terminals.

Connectthe suppliedACadaptorto the DCINjacksonthe centerunit and
wirelessreceiver unit. Thenconnectthe supplied ACpowercordto the AC
adaptor, andplug it in a wall outlet.
• Plug inthe power cordof the subwooferto a wall outlet.
Connectthe suppliedACadaptorto the DCINjack onthe centerunit. Then
connectthe supplied AC power cordto the ACadaptor,and plug it ina wall
outlet.
• Plug inthe power cordof the subwooferto a wall outlet.
CAUTION
• Oisconnectthepowercordsbeforedeaningormovingthespeakers.
Using the core filter
Attachthe providedcorefilter to the power cordandthe externalcomponents
cordto reduceinterference.

Run the cable through the core filter, and wind the cable
firmly once inside the cutout of the core filter as shown in the
illustration.

and
wireless receiver unit*
ThisSystemis equippedwith a wirelesssubwoofer andreceiverunit*. When
youusethem for the first time, activatethe wirelesspairing.
Referto the suppliedinformationsheet--'Activate wirelesspairing."

Basic operation
Turning
on/off
the
power
Press(b/i.
• Youcanalsousethe powerbutton on the front panel.
NOTE
• Asmafiamountofpowerisconsumedevenwhenthepoweristurnedoff
(standby mode). Duringstandby mode, the STANDBY l amp on the front pane!
lights up. Unplugthe power cordfrom the ACoutlet to turn the power off
completely.
• You can alsoturn on the System bypressing one of the input buttons (DIGITAL
L DIGITAL 2 orANALOG).
Selecting
the input
source
Press one of the input buttons: DIGITAL 1, DIGITAL2 or ANALOG.
DI (DIGITAL I ), D2 (DIGITAL 2 ) or AN(ANALOG) appears on the displayfor 2
seconds.
• Youcanalsousethe input button onthe front panel.
NOTE
• Theindicator!ampoftheselectedinputsourcelights.
Adjusting
the volume
PressVOLUME+/- (0 to 40).
• Youcanalsousethe volume buttonson the front panel.
CA UTION
• Setthe volume to theminimum levelbeforestarting anyinputsource. Ifthe
volume is set to a high level,the sudden blast ofsound may damage your
hearing and blow out the speakers.
Turning
off the sound

Press FADEMUTING.
• Torestorethe sound,press the button againor adjustthe volume.
Changing

Press DIMMER.
Each time you press the button, the LEDbrightness changesasfollows:

Adjuststhe output level of the front surroundspeakers.

Youcanlistento a morerealisticsoundthan stereosoundusing surround.
Availablesurroundmodesareas follows:
- SURROUND I : Suitableforthe reproduction of multi-channelsources. $ I
appearson the displaywhen selected.
- SURROUND 2: Suitableforthe reproduction of anystereomusicsources.

• Theindicatorlamp of the selectedmode lights.
Press SURROUNDMODErepeatedly to select the desired mode.
Thesurroundmodechangesalternately.
• Todeactivate,press OFF. O Fappearson the display.
Press SURROUNDMODE1 or SURROUNDMODE2.
• Todeactivate,press OFF. O Fappearson the display.
Adjusting
the speaker distance
Byadjustingthe speaker distance,youcanenjoy the optimum surroundsound
even if it is hardto install the speakers as shown inthe typicalinstallation
above.
1 Press DISTANCE chrepeatedlyto select t he desired speaker.
The speaker channelhasbeenchangedin the following sequence:

properly,movethe Systemto obtain better reception,
Radiowave receptionmay alsobeinterrupted by peoplemoving between
the units,
