Adequate air ventilation must be provided to locations where the UPS and batteries are located. For the 91PS/93PS UPS 8-10 kW with internal batteries, the minimum air flow is 1.5 m /hour and the minimum free area of opening for inlet and outlet is 42 cm when natural ventilation is used.

  • Page 40 11. To secure the UPS cabinet in position, lower the leveling feet until the cabinet is not resting on the casters and the cabinet is level. With 91PS/93PS 8-10 kW UPS, reattach the shipping brackets to the UPS cabinet to provide extra support. There are 2 options for positioning the shipping brackets: on both sides of the unit or on the front and rear of the unit.
  • Page 41 UPS must be made by a locally qualified electrician. The electrical installation procedure is described in the following section. The installation inspection and the initial start-up of the UPS and installing an extra battery cabinet must be carried out by an authorized Eaton Field Service Engineer or by other qualified service personnel authorized by Eaton.
  • Page 42 1. To gain access to the terminal blocks, remove the screws securing the gland plate at the back of the UPS. 2. If needed, install the additional single feed kit.   • Page 48 NOTE: Power and control wiring for the additional battery assemblies is supplied with the cabinets. The external battery cabinet can be located freely of the 91PS/93PS UPS cabinet. The wiring goes through the back wall of the UPS cabinet. For instructions on how to install these options, see the instruction manual provided in the package.   • Page 59 • Industrial Relay Card-MS The MiniSlot Industrial Relay Card provides a way of connecting the 91PS/93PS to industrial and electrical monitoring systems. It also enables a wide range of control applications by allowing up to 250 volts and 8 Amperes through its 5 relay connections. By connecting wires to the corresponding places in its terminal blocks, you can choose Normally Open or Normally Closed setup for each output.
