instruction manual.
The air-assisted airless spray gun combines airless and
air spraying concepts. The spraytip shapes the fluid into
a fan pattern, as does a conventional airless spray tip.
Air from the air cap further atomizes the
fluid and com-
pletes the atomization of the paint tails
into the pattern to
produce a more uniform pattern.
As the gun is triggered, the regulated air is directed to
the air cap for the air-assist function and air is also
directed to the turbine at the rear
of the power cartridge
The regulated air that is directed to the air cap can be
further controlled using the gun's air control valve. This
valve can be used to restrict air flow to the air cap while
maintaining suffcient air flow to the turbine. The air con-
trol valve does not control pattern width. To change pat-
tern width, a new tip size must be selected.
The ability of the PRO AA4500 Electrostatic Spray Gun
to spray at higher fluid pressures provides the additional
power needed to atomize higher solids materials.
The gun's internal power cartridge provides high volt-
age current. The fluid is electrostatically charged
as

Model 236-031, with Full-Featured Power
Supply
This full-featured power supply includes
a
radio fre-
quency (RF) transmitter. The transmitter sends a signal
to a hand held spray voltage readout monitor, called an
jumper pin
is
provided with the
SVR
and must be

The
SVR

installed in the gun's power supply before the gun will
transmit a signal. See ACCESSORIES to order the
SVR.
Model 236-030, with Basic Power Supply
The basic power supply provided with Gun Model
236-030 does not include the RF transmitter capability.
