Page 3: Sprayer And Boom Assembly Instructions
Assembly Procedure Most of the sprayer has been assembled at the factory. • Follow the steps on pages 3 through 6 to properly assemble the sprayer. Install the hose wrap mount (handgun/hose bracket will already be attached to the mount) to the sprayer frame using (2) bolts and nuts. - Page 4 Assembly Procedure 3/4” 1” Pump IS NOT included with this Sprayer - for Reference ONLY 5. Using a good quality thread sealant, thread 1” fitting The roller pump IS NOT included with the assembly. into the inlet (IN) and 3/4” fitting into the outlet (OUT) Attach the adapter, the torque bracket, torque chain, S- sides of the pump.
- Page 5 Boom Assembly Procedure 1. Mount the MX5 Center Section to the sprayer frame, using (2) saddle bases, (2) saddle mount clamps, (4) bolts and (4) nuts. 2. Attach the LH side FX5 Wing Assembly to the center section, using (2) bolts and (2) nuts. Then insert the carriage bolt and secure to the center section with the 2 jam nuts as shown.
- Page 6 Boom Assembly Procedure 4. Attach the FX5 LH Boom Extension with (2) carriage bolts and nuts. Then attach 6-Nozzle Harness to the LH wing assembly using (6) Phillips truss head locking screws. Then find the end of the hose that is con- nected to the back of the control valve (as indicated below) and slip a hose clamp from the parts bag on to the end of the hose, then with a twisting motion attach to the HB Nozzle Dry Boom Adapter on the end of the harness.

Operation Instructions Information About the Sprayer Roller pumps are positive displacement pumps, which means that the entire solution being pumped must go somewhere or the pump will break. In this roller pumping system, solution is drawn from the tank and forced to a planned source, such as boom noz- zles or handgun. -

Tip Information Important note about tips: When you refer to the rate charts found in this owners manual, these rates are based on water. Please read this tip selection section carefully before attempting to operate your boom assembly. The selection of proper tips for the boom is determined by the gallon per acre (GPA) requirement which is specified on the chemi- cal label. -
Page 9: Maintenance, Tank Care And Winter Storage
After use, fill the sprayer tank part way with water. Start the sprayer and allow the clear water to be pumped through the plumbing system and out through the spray nozzles. Refill the tank about half full with plain water and use FIMCO Tank Neutralizer and Cleaner and repeat cleaning instructions above (If no tank cleaner is available, you may substitute dish soap for this step, about 1-2 oz. -
