SYSTEM CONFIGURATION
When youhavecompleted y ourselections f orthe
mainsurround channels, pressthe • Button _
on
theremote to movethe cursorto SU RR B AC K.
Thislineserveslwo fsncfions inthatit not only
configures the settingforthe surround backchannels
whentheyare present; i t alsotellstheAVR335's
processing s ystem to configure t he unitforeither5.1
or 6.1/7.1 operafion.
WhenMAI N appears onthisline.thesystemis
configured f or 7.1 operafion withthesurround back
left/right S peakerOutputs@ receiving the main
channel feed.WhenMUL t I appears, thoseout
putswill receive the feedfromthe multiroom system
andan opfional powerqualifier m ustbe connected t o
theSBL/SBR PreampOutputs 0 for7.1 operation.

Whenallinitial s peaker " size" set_ngs havebeen
made.younowhavethe optionto takeadvantage o f
theAVR335's Quadruple C rossover system, w hich
allowsindividual crossover settings to be madetot
eachspeaker g rouping. Thelowfrequency crossover
pointis setbythe designof yourspeakers. Depending
on the design anddriver c omplement of yourspeak-
ers.it is defined asthe frequency below whichthe sig
nalshouldbe redirected to thesubwoefer, andis
therefore usually the lowest p ossible frequency the
speaker i s capable of reproducing. Ifyourmainspeak
ers include an onboaldpowered woofersection
intended to servethe function of asubwoofeT, the
crossover pointshouldbe setatthe frequency w here
the loudspeaker divides thesignalbelween its pow
eredwoofersectionandanyotherdrivers.
If youhavealready runEzSet+ the settings c alculated
duringthatprocedure willalready a ppear. N ofulther
adjustment is required unless youwishto conform a
specific itemto yourpersonal tasteor a nonstandald
system configuration.
Beforemaking anychanges t o the settings f or the
crossover point,wesuggest t hatyoufindthe
crossover pointforthe speakers i neachof thethree
groupings, frontleft/right, c enterandsurrounds, by
looking at thespecifications pageof the speakers'
owner'smanual, b ygetting thatintormation fromthe
manufacturer's Website.or by contacting y ourdealer
or themanufacturer's customer s ervicedepartment.

nextgroupof settings.
