When the function selector switch of the SA-107H is set to the
"player" position, +B voltage caused at the emitter of 0505 is
prevented from entering the base of 0501 and 0502. With this
prevention, the synchronous control signal goes out of the
player and is applied to the cassette deck, so that both units
are
synchronized
with each
other to perform
the record
playing and tape recording at a time.
MUTING
CIRCUIT
Input signal for the SA-107H is muted in the following cases.
1.
When the muting switch is turned on:
With the muting switch pushed, +B voltage is applied to the
base of 0907 so that this transistor turns on. With Q907 turned
on, its emitter line is negatively grounded to turn on Q801 and
Q802, so that the signal input line is subjected to the musing.
At the same time, 0904 and Q903 both turn on causing the
muting indicator (PL501) to light up.
. When
the function
selector
switch
is changed
from
one
position to another:
When the function selector switch is changed over, a high
level signal goes out of pin @) of IC501 through the mute
control circuit inside the |C501.
With this signal given, Q803 and Q804 turn on so that the
muting is effected with the muting indicator lighting up. The
muting lasts about 0.5 second and will stop thereafter.
. When the power switch is turned on and off:
With the power switch turned. on, Q901 and 0902 turn on and
+B voltage is applied via D905 and D903 to the base of 0803
and 0804 which causes the. muting circuit to operate. As
charging
of C901
is stopped,
Q905 turns on causing the
muting circuit not to operate. With the power switch turned
off, a high level signal is applied to the base of Q906, and with
DIAL CORD STRINGING
. Turn the drum fully clockwise (at the highest frequency
position), and put a hook of the spring in the hole of the
drum.
. Proceed with stringing in the numerical order from @ to
©.
. After the stringing, turn the tuning control knob fully
counterclockwise
(at the lowest frequency
position),
and align the center of the pointer to notch of the
front bracket.

Q906 turned on, 0905 turns of so that the charged voltage of
C911 is fed via R907, R908, R905 and D903 to 0803 and 0804.
With 0803 and 0804 turned on, the muting is actuated with
the muting indicator lighting up: after that, power supply is
turned off.
