FUNCTION
SELECTOR
CIRCUIT
This circuit consists of IC501 and other adjacent parts and
affords an electronic selection of the input functions from the
player, tuner and cassette deck externally connected with the
SA-107H.
And its important feature is to allow an automatic changeover
among
those external units and to provide a synchronous
control in the case of recording the player's sound into the
cassette deck.
. Function Selection in the SA-107H
When
the play/cut key or the cartridge forward key of the
player, or the play key of the cassette deck, or the tuner call key
of the tuner is turned on, a high level signal is caused to enter
pins @ to © of IC501. In the 1C501, an audio signal is then
produced according to the key next pushed and goes out of
pins @ and © through the input control circuit and analog
switch which
are inside the IC501. At the same time, the
transistor
0508,
Q509,
Q510
or Q511
turns
on, thereby
allowing the input indicator corresponding to the key pushed
to be lit.
When the function selection is performed, the muting circuit
functions. (Refer to explanation of the muting circuit.)
Automatic Changeover among External Units
The SA-107H
may be externally connected with the player
RP-107H and cassette deck RT-107H.
In these connections,
each external
unit is independently
activated by operating its own function key.
@
For the player RP-107H:
When the play/cut key or cartridge forward key of the
player is pushed, a low level signal is applied to pin @ of
the socket _SO601. of the SA-107H to turn on Q509. With
Q509 turned on, the indicator LED502 lights up and +B
voltage is fed to pin @ of |C501 so that the player's function
is effected in the SA-107H.
For the cassette deck RT-107H:
When the play key of the cassette deck is pushed, a low
level signal is applied to pin @ of the socket SO502 of the
CIRCUIT DESCRIPTION
SA-107H to turn on 0504. With 0503 turned on, +B voltage
from its emitter is fed to pin @ of IC501 so that the cassette
deck's function is effected in the SA-107H. At the time, a
low level signal goes out of pin @ of IC501 to turn on Q511,
thereby causing the indicator LED504 to light up.
For the tuner:
When the tuner call key of the tuner is pushed, 0510 turns
on and a high level signal is applied to pin © of IC501 so
that the tuner's function is effected in the SA-107H. With
the power switch turned on, however, the function selector
switch
of the SA-107H
is disregarded
and the tuner's
function is instead established forcibly by 0512 which then
turns on.
While the cassette deck RT-107H is reproducing the tape, if
the function selector switch of the SA-107His set to other
than the "tape" position, the tape indicator (LED504) is put
off and a low level signal is caused at the base of 0507 so
that Q507 and Q506 turn on. Then a negative (—) voltage
goes out of the collector of Q506 and is applied to pin © of
the socket SO502 of the SA-107H, thereby causing the
cassette deck to stop operating.
While the player RP-107H
is playing the record, if the
function selector switch of the SA-107H is set to other than
the "player" position, the play indicator (LED502) is put off
and +B voltage is applied to pin @ of the socket SO60? of
the SA-107H, thereby causing the player to stop operating.
3. Synchronous Control
The synchronous control is effective when the player RP-107H
and cassette deck RT-107H are cooperated together to record
the former's reproduced sound into the latter.
For the details of the synchronous
control,
refer to the
respective Service Manuals.
While the units are in such synchronous control, if the function
selector switch of the SA-107H is set to other than the "player"
position, a high level signal is applied to the base of 0501 and
Q502 which gets the synchronous control signal grounded,
thereby the synchronous control is stopped.
