current position of the spindle.

Pre-setting a Base Value for absolute Measurements

While the micrometre is turned on press and hold the ABS button (5) to reach the
pre-setting mode. In the upper part of the display a "Set" appears and the first digit
of the display flashes.. You can now set the value between 0 and 9 by repeatedly
pressing ON/0 briefly. Press ABS briefly to switch to the next digit of the display.
When you have reached the last digit, press and hold ABS again, until "SET"
disappears from the display. You are now the absolute measuring mode with the
set value you have set as a base value.
When you want to switch to the measuring mode with the pre-set base value, press
the ABS button briefly while in relative or absolute measuring mode to activate the
pre-set base value at the current spot.

Switching between the Metric and the Imperial Systems

Press the mm/in button (6) to switch between the metric and the imperial system.

Holding a Value

1. Press the HOLD button (11) briefly to hold the current measured value. Press
the button briefly again to resume measuring.
2. Press and hold the HOLD button to enter the max value function. In the upper
part of the display "MAX" is displayed and the micrometre displays the highest
value which was measured while the max value function was activated.
3. ress and hold the HOLD button again to enter the min value function. In the
display "MIN" is displayed and the micrometre displays the lowest value which
was measured while the min value function was activated.
4. Press and hold the HOLD button again to enter the delta measuring function. In
the display "∆" is displayed and the micrometre displays the difference between
the highest and the lowest measured value.
5. To leave the HOLD function, press and hold the HOLD button until "∆"
disappears from the display.

Resetting

Should the display freeze or display an error notice, remove the battery and
reinsert it after one minute.
