Procedure: CRATE UNPACKING INSTRUCTIONS
Description: Instructions for how to disassemble the gyro crate
A SEAKEEPER 35 gyro is shown in the illustrations below.
1) Inspect crate and note any damage.
Remove the marked screws that attach
the lid to the crate as shown. Carefully
remove the lid.
2) Remove marked screws from panel A as shown below. Remove panel A.

  • Page 3 CRATE UNPACKING INSTRUCTIONS 90394 3 of 5 6) Keep the gyro bolted to the base until ready for installation. The base may be moved using a forklift or pallet jack if needed. To separate gyro from crate base, remove the lag screws at each corner of the frame shown circled below.

The following photographs containing green circles show acceptable methods to lift the gyro, such as a spreader bar or long lift slings. Keep the lifting lines as close to vertical as possible.
