Adjusting the throttle cable *

The throttle grip should always provide for a backlash of 3-5 mm
(0,12-0,20 in). Besides, with the engine running, the idling speed must not
change if you turn the handlebar all the way to the left or right.
To adjust the throttle cables, slide back the protection cover
2
counter nut
and turn the adjusting screw
adjusting screw counterclockwise will reduce the backlash, turning the adju-
sting screw clockwise will increase the backlash.
Tighten the counter nut and check whether the throttle grip can be
actuated smoothly.

Checking the adjustment of the hand decompression cable *

To check, set piston at compression, so that the valves are closed. While
doing this, slowly operate the kickstarter through its stroke until the clicking
sound (disengaging) of the automatic decompression can be heard. Now
the decompression lever must be operated 10 mm until resistance is felt
(the exhaust valves begin to open).
To adjust, move back the protective cover
correct the adjustment screw
back protective cover.

Changing the original position of the clutch lever

The adjusting screw

can be used for individual adjustment of the original
position of the clutch lever, thus allowing adjustment to an optimal position
for every hand size.
Turning the adjusting screw clockwise reduces the distance between the
clutch lever and the handlebar. Turning the adjusting screw counterclock-
wise increases the distance between the clutch lever and the handlebar.
