WARNING
• Before closing the bonnet, ensure
all obstructions are removed from
around the bonnet opening.
• Always double check to be sure
that the bonnet is firmly latched
before driving away. Check there
is no bonnet open warning light or
message displayed on the instru-
ment cluster. Driving with the bon-
net opened may cause a total loss
of visibility, which might result in
an accident.
• Do not move the vehicle with the
bonnet in the raised position, as
vision is obstructed, which might
result in an accident, and the bon-
net could fall or be damaged.

Tailgate

Opening the tailgate
• The tailgate is locked or unlocked by
turning the key to the "Lock" or
"Unlock" position. (if equipped)
• The tailgate is locked or unlocked
when all doors are locked or unlocked
with the remote key, smart key or
central door lock/unlock switch. (if
quipped with central door lock func-
tion)
• If unlocked, the tailgate can be
opened by pulling up the tailgate out-
side handle.

Information
In cold and wet climates, door lock and
door mechanisms may not work prop-
erly due to freezing conditions.
WARNING
The tailgate swings upward. Make
sure no objects or people are near
the rear of the vehicle when opening
the tailgate.
