Press the ENTER key. A 99 will appear in the top center
of the screen if the master key verification value of the
master key code stored in the 3274 matches the master key
verification value previously stored on the Encrypt/Decrypt
diskette. A 99 code indicates that the master key code is as
expected. If the two verification values do not agree, then
a 44 will be displayed in the top center of the screen,
indicating that the 3274 master key code has been changed
with another Encrypt/Decrypt diskette. Contact the
appropriate person in your organization to resolve the
problem.

To resume your operation, replace the Encrypt/Decrypt
diskette with an operational diskette and press the IML
pushbutton. After the IML operation is completed, notify
all terminal operators that the 3274 is again operationaL

Encrypt/Decrypt Feature Test
Note:
Since this test changes the master key code stored in the
3274, the desired master key code will have to be
reentered at the end of this test.
This test involves entering a master key code of
0123456789ABCDEF. If the derived master key verification
value is equal to F188D8504894139E, then the Encrypt/Decrypt
feature is operating satisfactorily.
