14. Press the ENTER key. When the ENTER key is pressed,
the verification value is stored on the Encrypt/Decrypt
diskette, and the top two rows of the display screen change
to:

The keyboard is now disabled and cannot be reset until an
IML operation is performed. To continue your normal
operation, turn the 3274 Encrypt/Decrypt key switch
counterclockwise to the vertical position, remove the
security key from the key switch, replace the
Encrypt/Decrypt diskette with an operational diskette, and
press the IML pushbutton. After the IML operation is
completed, notify all terminal operators that the 3274 is
again operational.

Verifying the Master Key Code
This procedure will indicate whether the master key
verification value stored on the associated Encrypt/Decrypt
diskette matches the verification value of the master key code
currently stored in the 3274. If the values match, a 99 will be
displayed; if the values do not match, a 44 will be displayed.
To execute this procedure, first contact the appropriate person
in your organization to obtain the associated Encrypt/Decrypt
diskette.

If any devices attached to the 3274 are in use, notify all
terminal operators that the 3274 operation is going to be
interrupted; then wait until all operations are ended. If the
3274 is not in use, turn it on.
