Is it possible to swap the signal cable of the failing display
with the signal cable of a known working display at the
display units?

To further define the problem, arrange time during which
a known working display can be made available. When a
display is available, go to step 005 of this procedure.
Swap signal cables at the display ends. Set the Normal/Test
switch to Test, then to Normal, at both display stations, or
turn power off, then on, and wait up to 2 minutes, whichever is
appropriate. (For an IBM 3270 Personal Computer
Attachment, ensure that the Personal Computer is set in the
correct mode for attaching it to the 3274.)
