• Do not bend, crush, pull or drive over the power
cable, protect from sharp edges, oil and heat.
• Do not lift the device using the cable or use the
cable for purposes other than intended.
• Check the plug and cable before each use.
• If the power cable is damaged immediately dis-
connect the plug. Never use the device if the
power cable is damaged.
• If the device is not in use make sure the plug is
pulled out.
• Make sure that the device is switched off before
plugging in the mains cable.
• Make sure that the device is switched off before
unplugging it.
• Disconnect the power supply before transporting
the device.
• The power connection cable of this device cannot
be replaced. In the event of damages to the power
connection cable, the device should be disposed
of in accordance with the appropriate regulations.
Device-specific safety instructions
• Do not use the device to charge non-rechargea-
ble or defective batteries.
• Do not use the charger to charge dry cell batter-
ies. These may crack and lead to injuries to per-
sons or damage to the equipment.
• Do not use the device as a power supply.
• Do not permanently install the device in vehicles.
• Operate the device in a safe and even place, and
position it such that it cannot tip over or fall.
• Never operate the device in rain, snow or in moist
environments.
• Never operate the device with wet hands.
• Avoid turning and tilting the device and do not
relocate it during operation.
• Protect the product from hard shocks! Do not let it
fall!
• Wear safety goggles while connecting or discon-
necting the battery cable and turn the face away
from the contact points.
• The battery may form explosive gas while charg-
ing, hence sparking must be avoided in close
proximity.
• During charging of the battery, gases and vapours
arise that are harmful to your health. Do not inhale
any gases and vapours that arise.
• Battery acid is corrosive. If skin or eyes come in
contact with the acid, then immediately wash with
water and consult a doctor.
• Ensure adequate ventilation during charging (risk
of explosion).
• Never charge the battery near open fire or in
places where spark formation may occur.
• Ensure that the mains voltage complies with the
input voltage stated on the device (220–240 V~)
to protect the device from damage.
• Only connect and disconnect the battery connect-
ing cables when the charger is not connected to
the mains socket.
• Pull the plug out of the socket before connecting
and disconnecting the charging cable to the bat-
tery, and when the device is not in use.

• Do not cover the device during the charging pro-
cess, as it may be damaged due to intense heat.
• Remove all cables of the device from the battery
before driving the vehicle.
• Immediately discontinue the use of the device if
smoke becomes visible or an unusual odour
arises.
• Do not use the device in rooms in which explosive
or combustible materials are stored (e. g. petrol or
solvents).
• Chargers may disturb the operation of active elec-
tronic implants such as cardiac pacemakers, thus
posing a risk for persons.
• Never touch both terminals at the same time
when the device is in operation.
• Risk of a short! Pay attention that both battery ter-
minals do not touch the charging cable when the
plug is in the mains socket. Make sure that the
battery terminals and the battery poles are not
connected by conductive objects (e. g. tools).
• Never place the device above or in the vicinity of
the battery to be charged. Gases from the battery
cause corrosion of the charger, which damages it.
Place the charger as far away from the battery as
the connecting cables allow.
• Never operate the device if it has fallen or if it has
been otherwise damaged.
• Symbols appearing on your product must not be
removed or covered. Signs on the product that
are no longer legible must be replaced immedi-
ately.
Read and observe the instructions for use
before using the product for the first time.
The device may only be used in dry, indoor
rooms.
Danger of cauterization! Batteries contain
acids, which damage the eyes and skin.
Warning of explosive substances.
Warning of flammable substances.
No open flame; Fire, open sources of igni-
tion and smoking are prohibited.
Do not expose to the rain.
Disconnect the power supply before con-
necting or disconnecting the battery.
Personal protective clothing
Wear goggles when working with the de-
vice.
Handling the charging cables
• Charging cables must not be extended.
