The following features are either unique to TOSHIBA computers or are
advanced features, which make the computer more convenient to use.

The Hot key functions are supported only under Windows, not under
QosmioPlayer.

Some computers in this series are equipped with
a mini-PCI wireless LAN card that is compatible
with other networking systems based on Direct
Sequence Spread Spectrum/Orthogonal
Frequency Division Multiplexing radio technology
that comply with the IEEE 802.11 Standard
(Revision A, B or G), and Turbo Mode. Refer to
the Wireless LAN section in Chapter 4, Operating
Basics.
Some computers in this series are equipped with
Bluetooth functions. Bluetooth wireless
technology eliminates the need for cables
between electronic devices such as computers
and printers. Bluetooth provides fast, reliable,
and secure wireless communication in a small
space.
This switch turns the wireless networking and
Bluetooth functions on and off.
Connects an optional security lock to anchor the
computer to a desk or other large object.
Key combinations let you quickly change the
system configuration directly from the keyboard
without running a system configuration program.
This feature automatically cuts off power to the
internal display when there is no keyboard input
for a time specified. Power is restored when any
key is pressed. You can specify the time in the
Monitor power off item of the Basic Setup tab in
TOSHIBA Power Saver.
