COMPACT
DISC PLAYBACK
FUNCTIONS
TRACK SEARCH
(Skip selection)
These functions cause the player to jump to the start
of the next track, or jump to the start of the track
currently being played.

If these keys are repeatedly pressed, the player jumps
to the start of successive tracks.
This makes it easy
for you to reach the start of the track you want to hear.
NOTE:
@ /f the track search key is pressed during pause mode, the
player returns to pause
mode
after the jump.
@ Be careful when you press the key to jump in the reverse
direction.
The first time you press the key, the player
jumps to the beginning of the currently playing track.
The
second time you press the key, the player jumps to the
beginning of the previous track.
@ If the forward track search key is pressed during playback
of the last track on the disc, or if the player is in pause
mode over the last track on the disc, the player does not
accept the command from the key.
The player also does
not accept commands for track searches beyond the last
track.
You can also select a track by specifying the track
number of the track you want to play with the numeric
keys.

PAUSE
Pressing
this key causes
temporary
interruption
of
playback.
The word ''PAUSE" is displayed, and the current track
number,
index number,
minute and second flash on
the screen.

Pressing the key again causes
playback to resume
from the point of interruption.
NOTE:
@ When the PAUSE key is pressed during search operation,
the player goes into pause mode when the search ends.
@ During
track program
play,
"PAUSE"
is not displayed.
PAUSE mode is indicated by the flashing of the current
track number,
index number,
minute and second.

TV/LVP
This function switches between
display of playback
information and reception of TV broadcasts.
The key
functions the same
way as during LaserVision
Disc
playback.

ABOUT THE SEARCH
DISPLAY
During
execution
of
search
operations
for
track
search, random
access, or track program
play etc.,
"SEARCH"
is displayed
on the TV screen
together
with the number of the track being searched for and a
numeric time indication.
