AUDIO REPRODUCTION
PLAYBACK
OF STEREO
DISCS
When power is turned on, the player goes into stereo
| playback
mode
(the 1/L and 2/L LVP AUDIO

performed in this mode.
lf either of the 1/L or 2/R indicators is off, press the
AUDIO
STEREO
key on the remote
control
unit to
make both indicators light.
The sound played back via a TV set connected to the
VHF output terminal, is not stereo even if a stereo disc
is played.
PLAYBACK
OF BILINGUAL
DISCS
To listen to only one channel of a bilingual disc etc.,
press either the 1/L or 2/R AUDIO key corresponding
to the channel you wish to hear. The indicator of the
channel which. is selected
will remain
lit, while the
indicator for the other channel will go out.
Sound is only output during normal playback.
Sound
is not output during still, scan, or multi-speed
play-
back modes.

When
LaserVision
with
Digital
Sound
Discs
are
played back with the AUTO DIGITAL indicator on the
front panel lit, digitally recorded sound is output from
the CD/LV
audio output terminals.
[When power is turned on, the AUTO DIGITAL
indicator is on (lit up).]
At this time the [DIGITAL] indicator lights to show
that digital sound is being output.
When
the AUTO
DIGITAL
indicator
is not lit, the
output
from
the
CD/LV
audio
output
terminals
is
analog sound.
When digital sound is being output from the CD/LV
audio output terminals, sound
channel
selection
using the AUDIO keys is not possible (the output is
always stereo mode).
During disc playback, the sound output from the LV
(ANALOG)
audio output terminals, is always analog
sound.

FOR BILINGUAL DIGITAL SOUND DISCS
Digital sound is always output through both 1/L and 2/R
(STEREO mode).
The audio channel cannot be switched over by remote control
key operation.
After pressing the LVP AUDIO button on the front panel, the
AUTO DIGITAL indicator will go out. After switching over to
analog sound, select the audio by channel the remote control
unit's audio monitor keys.
