LASERVISION
DISC PLAYBACK
FUNCTIONS
CX SYSTEM
(The CX SYSTEM key is effective only for. analog
sound)
When playing back discs with the CX mark, press the
CX key so as to turn on the CX SYSTEM (so that the
CX SYSTEM
indicator lights).
The CX SYSTEM
can increase the sound
signal to
noise ratio, and.increase the dynamic
range.
Some discs have codes recorded on them which
switch the CX system on and off automatically.
When these discs are played back, switching of
the CX system is carried out automatically. Also,
once automatic switching has been carried out,
switching with the CX key cannot be performed
until the disc is removed (until the disc table lock
is released).
When the CX SYSTEM
indicator does not light when
playback
of a disc with the CX mark
begins, this
indicates that the disc does not perform CX switching
automatically.
Please press the CX key on the remote
control unit, so as to make the CX SYSTEM
indicator
light.
CX is a trademark of CBS Ine.
This player meets
the CX EXPANDING
SPECIFICATION.
NOTE:
When
playing back a disc without the CX mark, always
switch the CX system off.
If a disc without the CX mark is
played back with the CX. system
on, the sound
will not
play back naturally.
TV/LVP
Selects between
disc playback and TV reception.
Please confirm by looking at the LVP indicator on the
front panel.

LVP indicator lit : Disc playback
LVP indicator not lit : Reception of TV broadcast
This key switches
the output from the VHF output
terminal on the rear panel.
When
using the video and audio output terminals,
please select using the video selector switch on the
TV set.

Pressing
this key causes
the video
and
sound
to
disappear, and temporary interruption of playback.
The screen becomes blue, and an indication appears
of the side being played back ("SIDE A" or "SIDE B")
and the word
"PAUSE"
appears.
Pressing the key
again causes
playback to resume from the point of
interruption.
(In the case of some discs. the "SIDE"
indication does not appear.)

the player pauses when the search ends.
