E.g., in the current test setup, the connecting cables between the analyzer ports and the DUT introduce an attenuation and a phase shift of the waves.

For instance, you can use markers to determine maxima and min- ima on the trace, and change the display format to obtain information about the group delay of the transmitted wave.
