Using the External
CD-RW/DVD-ROM
Drive
The following sections present how to use the External
CD-RW/DVD-ROM drive.
Inserting and Removing a Disc

Turn on your computer and press the eject button to
open the tray.

To insert a disc, hold it by the edges and place it in
the tray with the readable (plain) side down. Then,
gently press down on the disc until it snaps into
place.

To remove a disc, grasp it by the edges and gently
pull up until the disc is released.
Avoid touching the readable (plain) side(s) of a
disc. Touching the readable side of the disc
may cause read errors, poor performance or
failed operation.
