To add hydraulic fluid to a New Holland E57C, follow these steps:
1. Release all pressure in the hydraulic tank (refer to instructions on page 6-12). 2. Lower the bucket to the ground, fully extending the arm and bucket cylinders. 3. Remove the cover by taking out bolts (1). 4. Place a container (minimum 70L capacity) under the drain plug. 5. Loosen the drain plug (3) and drain the old hydraulic oil. 6. Clean the hydraulic oil suction filter (see page 6-72). 7. Reinstall and tighten the drain plug (3). 8. Add new hydraulic fluid to the tank. 9. Reinstall the cover (2) and tighten bolts (1) to 54.2 – 81.3 N·m (40 – 60 lb·ft). 10. Clean around the air bleed plug on top of the hydraulic pump with solvent. 11. Loosen the air bleed plug. If fluid comes out, remove the plug and fill the pump with clean hydraulic fluid. 12. Tighten the air bleed plug. 13. Start the engine and run it without load for 5 minutes. 14. Move each control several times to remove air from the system. 15. Park the machine in the specified position and stop the engine.
