Answering system settings
NOTE: If the answering system is off and there is an incoming call, the system answers
after ten rings and announces, "Please enter your remote access code." For more
information about remote access, see page 121.

Call screening

Use this feature to choose whether incoming messages can be heard over
the speaker when they are being recorded. If you turn call screening on, you
hear the incoming message. While monitoring an incoming message, you can
answer the call by pressing
HOME on the telephone base.

1. When the handset or telephone base is in idle mode,
