Registration and deregistration Deregistering handsets If you want to replace a handset, or reassign the designated handset number of a registered handset, you must deregister all handsets that are registered to the telephone base, and then register each handset individually. If there is no dial tone on that phone either, the problem is in your wiring or telephone service. Contact your telephone service provider.

Try installing your phone as far away as possible from these types of electronic devices.

Caller ID features work only if both you and the caller are in areas offering caller ID service, and if both telephone service providers use compatible equipment.
