4.3.13.A Translate PS/2 to RS-232 Mouse

If all of the CPUs attached to your ServSwitch Jr. have PS/2 mouse ports, you can
plug a PS/2 mouse into the Switch and control them all without having to
reconfigure the system at all. Likewise, if all of the attached CPUs have serial
mouse ports, you can control them seamlessly after plugging an RS-232 serial
mouse into the Switch.
However, if some of the CPUs have PS/2 mouse ports and some have serial
mouse ports, you'll need to use a PS/2 mouse and set the Switch to do PS/2 to
RS-232 mouse translation for the serial-mouse CPUs. (The Switch can't perform
RS-232 to PS/2 translation.) To enable mouse translation for a serial-mouse CPU,
select that CPU's port, then type [Ctrl] [Q] [1] [Enter]. Enter the Keep Settings
command after you enter this command.
If later you attach a computer with a PS/2 mouse port to that CPU port on the
Switch, type [Ctrl] [Q] [0] [Enter] to disable mouse translation, then enter the
Keep Settings command.

4.3.13.B Force PS/2 Wheel Mouse

If you are using a PS/2 wheel mouse with the ServSwitch Jr., you should make sure
that the Switch is actually outputting mouse data in PS/2 wheel format to all of the
CPUs that can actually support it. One after another, select each CPU port that has
such a CPU attached, then set mouse mode to "PS/2 wheel" for that port. To do
so, type [Ctrl] [Q] [2] [Enter]. Enter the Keep Settings command after you enter
this command.
If later you attach a computer with a non-wheel-mouse driver to that CPU port
on the Switch, type [Ctrl] [Q] [0] [Enter] to restore normal PS/2 mouse mode,
then enter the Keep Settings command.
