Caution
e
lf there are other people in the area firing a
Speedlight,
it may cause
your slave unit to fire
also.
e
The
slave unit normally fires only when it senses a sudden burst of
light. However,
it can also fire in the event a lamp such as a
fluorescent light flickers when it is turned ON.
However,
there is no
abnormality in this
case.
+Notes
+
The
slave unit
fires
when light from the master unit activates the slave
unit's
sensor.
The maximum distance under water at which the slave
unit can react to light from the master unit is about 10 meters (32.8
feet) when the master unit is directly facing the slave unit's sensor.
However, the slave unit may not fire if the water is cloudy or there is
strong external light. Test fire the Speedlights in advance to be sure the
Flash Slave will work properly.
+
The
standby function does not work in Flash Slave mode. Battery
power will thus be consumed in about 10 minutes, the equivalent
power needed to fire the flash once in manual full output. At this rate,
battery power will be used up in about 20 hours even without a single
firing of the flash
.
