8. Start the engine and let it idle while
checking for oil leakage.
9. Stop the engine and check the oil level
one last time.
10. Install the rubber cover and passenger
seat cushion.

Continuously Variable Transmission
(CVT)
The V-belt must be inspected at the intervals
specified in the periodic maintenance chart.
This requires special skills and knowledge, so

have your Yamaha dealer perform this main-
tenance. More frequent inspections are rec-
ommended if you often drive hard or operate
in severe conditions.
When worn, the V-belt should be replaced to
prevent unintended
symptoms include:
 Initial acceleration is slow or maximum
speed is slow.
 Abnormal vibrations or unusual noises from
the CVT.
If any of the above signs occur, have the CVT
inspected and repaired if necessary.

Final gear oil

Check the oil level and change the final gear
