Checking the Status of Consumables

You can check the approximate ink levels and the approximate service life of the maintenance box from the control
panel or the computer.
Note:
You can continue printing while the ink low message is displayed. Replace the ink cartridges when required.

Checking the Status of Consumables (Control Panel)

Select
on the printer's control panel.

Checking the Status of Consumables (Windows)

1. Access the printer driver window.
2. Click EPSON Status Monitor 3 on the Utility tab.
Note:
If EPSON Status Monitor 3 is disabled, click Speed and Progress on the Utility tab, and then clear Disable EPSON
Status Monitor 3.

Checking the Status of Consumables (Mac OS)

1. Select System Preferences from the Apple menu > Printers & Scanners (or Print & Scan, Print
& Fax), and then select the printer.
2. Click Options & Supplies > Utility > Open Printer Utility.
3. Click EPSON Status Monitor.

Improving Paper Feeding Problems (Rear Paper
Feeder)
If you have a paper feed problem from the rear paper feeder, and if you have a cleaning sheet that came with Epson
genuine paper, load the cleaning sheet and clean the inside of the printer. For details on using the cleaning sheet,
see the instructions that came with the sheet.
1. Remove any paper for printing loaded in the rear paper feeder.
2. Remove the protective sheet from the cleaning sheet.
The cleaning sheet has adhesive tape under the protective sheet. Be careful not to touch the surface of the
cleaning sheet or attach it to anything else.
3. Load the cleaning sheet in the rear paper feeder.
