  6. If a gas stove needs to be moved before the range hood is installed, please turn off the main valve of the gas stove before moving the gas stove.
  7. The wall on which the range hood is installed should be strong enough.
  8. In order to ensure safety and smooth installation, please use the standard accessories to install. When you install the expansion tube, please ensure a tight fit between the expansion and the hole on the wall. Please do not drill a hole which is too large in case of the expansion tube becoming loose and accidental falling.
  9. Please run gas exhaust outdoors to prevent fire.
  10. Please do not exhaust the waste gas into the wall, attic or garage.
  11. The waste gas from the range hood should not be exhausted into the hot smoke pipe that is used to exhaust smoke generated from burning gas or other fuel.
  12. Please keep the machine horizontal from left to right.
  13. After installation, confirm the range hood is qualified by running a test in which no abnormal phenomena occur.

Please read the manual carefully and keep the manual for future reference.

Installation Diagram of the Range Hood
Hole dimension of the upper cabinet or suspended ceiling:

warning Notes:

  1. Reserved dimension between the cabinet and the machine is recommended as ≥1/4 '' (5mm) (see the figure);
  2. 27''-38 5/8''(685-980mm) in the cabinet match diagram is the dimension range, including trim cover height.
  3. Installation height of the range hood is a recommended value; the cabinet and range hood match diagram is only for reference.
  4. You may need to allow for a gap between the upper side of the range hood and the bottom of the cabinet to install and disassemble, please pay attention.

Preparations before installation

To avoid damaging the range hood, please ensure that no debris get into the air outlet.

  • Estimate outlet pipe position that connects the range hood to the outside, please refer to the installation diagram.
  • A linear and short air outlet allows the range hood to exhaust smoke more smoothly.
  • Avoid using an outlet pipe which is too long or has too many corners since this kind of pipe will affect the smoke exhausting effect.
  • Please use duct tape to seal the connection between the outlet pipe and the wall holes. Please ensure a tight connection between the outlet and the outlet housing.
  • An undersized hole will affect the smoke exhausting effect; it is recommended to broaden the hole to 6" on the premise of ensuring safety.

Four installation requirements

  1. The installation height of the range hood (i.e. the distance between the supporting surface of the cooking appliance on the range and the lowest part of the range hood) is 24"25 5/8"(610mm~650mm)(in USA)/25 5/8"27 9/16"(650mm~700mm)(in Canada). The installation height is the recommended value, and the cupboard and the range hood shown in the figure is for reference only. When the installation height of this product (i.e. the distance between the supporting surface of the cooking appliance on the range and the lowest part of the range hood) is lower than 24"(610mm)(in USA)/25 5/8"(650mm) (in Canada), all parts below 24"(610mm)(in USA)/25 5/8"(650mm)(in Canada) are nonflammable parts of the range hood or parts working under safe and ultra-low voltage, and the deformation of these parts will not affect the protection against the touch of live parts. (If relevant laws in the region stipulate the installation height of range hood, it is recommended to abide by relevant laws, but the oil smoke suction effect of the product may be affected to some extent.)
  2. Air outlet pipe should reach outdoors, interfaces should be sealed well;
  3. In order to ensure proper smoke exhausting effect, the exit of the outlet pipe should not be deformed in case of decreasing supply area.
  4. Power socket should be connected to the ground grid. Power cord has a total length of 1.3m, please take this into consideration when design the power socket position.

The waste gas from the range hood should not be exhausted into the hot smoke pipe that is used to exhaust smoke generated from burning gas or other fuels.

Installation Procedures

  1. Determine the space for installing the hood above the cooktop, which shall meet the hood installation height.
  2. Use an ultrasonic stud detector to find the wooden board behind the wall and mark it.
  3. Determine the center point of the cooker and use the horizontal ruler to draw the vertical centerline of the range hood installation.
  4. Determine the installation height of the range hood, 25 5/8"-27 9/16" (650mm-700mm), with a base point at the cooker holder, and draw a baseline with a horizontal ruler.
  5. Determine the position of the machine hook, 21 5/8" (548.5mm), based on the range hood installation height line. Confirm that the trim cover is in the position of the trim cover hook according to the actual installation environment (up to 15 3/4" (400mm) above the machine hook reference line). Draw a reference line with a horizontal ruler.
  6. Unpack box and take out the machine hook and the trim cover hook, and mark the fixing holes for the machine hook and the trim cover hook according to the marked position.
  7. Drill holes with a diameter of 7/16'' (10 mm) and a depth of 2 3/8'' (60 mm) at the marked points with an impact driver. If the hole is marked over a wooden stud, you just need to get through the surface of the wall. Note: If there is no wooden stud at point of the machine hook, please drill holes in the wall behind the hook, insert and fix a wooden board and wooden stake, and affix the machine hook to the reinforced wooden board. The wooden board must be reinforced and reliable, able to bear a weight of 60 kg.
  8. Take the expansion tube and wood screws out of the accessory bag, insert the expansion tube into the hole on the wall and fix the hook with wood screws. If there is just a wooden stake, affix it directly with wood screws.
warning Note: Keep the hook horizontal with a horizontal ruler.
  9. Two people take out the complete machine from the packing box, unscrew the four screws which fix the fan cover to the back of the range hood, and remove the fan cover and the trim cover. Screw two of the screws from inside outside to the top screw hole at the outer cover. Do not screw too tightly, leave a distance of 3mm
  10. Unwrap the fan packaging, place the outlet housing and sealing gasket on the air outlet of the range hood and fix the outlet housing and air outlet with 8 M4×12 screws.
  11. Using two people, hang the range hood on the machine hook and use the horizontal ruler to keep it horizontal. Fix the range hood and the main machine hook with a M4*8 screw as shown in Figure 4.
  12. Put the pre-arranged smoke pipe on the outlet housing, fix the outlet pipe and the outlet housing on both the left and right sides with 2.9×19 screws. Then seal the outlet pipe and the outlet housing with aluminum foil tape. Plug the power supply of the range hood into the socket, then turn on the fan to check if there is any air leakage.
    Installation Procedures
  13. Remove the protective film of the fan cover and the trim cover, put the trim cover into the fan cover, reaching out a distance of about 2'' (50mm). Pick up the fan cover and the trim cover and hang the trim cover on the trim cover hook. Then slowly push it to the right place, then slowly put the fan cover down into the exhaust fume collecting hood.
  14. Remove the protective film of the exhaust fume collecting hood, remove the oil cup protective film and hang the oil cup. Press the cleaning button and after the lifting rod is lowered down, install the outer net of the air inlet. Then remove the protective film of the wing-like plate and install it.
  15. Finally, attach the corner bumpers, which help avoid head collisions, on the hood corners as shown in (Figure 6). Clean fingerprints from the surface of the range hood. Installation is complete.
