   Turn on Bluetooth on your device, open the Ultratide App and follow the instructions to create your account and setup your watch.

   Choose your favorite spots from the entire Surfline network.

PUSHER A : FROM THE HOME SCREEN, SHOW YOU:

1. SPOT SUMMARY QUICK VIEW: QUICKLY REVIEW CURRENT SURF HEIGHT AND SURFLINE RATING FOR YOUR 5 PRESET SPOTS
2. TOGGLE THROUGH ALL MODES IN THE FOLLOWING ORDER :

• SPOT SUMMARY QUICK VIEW
• SESSION MODE
• HEAT TIMER MODE

3. TAKES YOU FROM FORECAST DETAILS PAGE 1, TO FORECAST DETAILS PAGES 2 AND 3

PUSHER B : LIGHT. A 3-SECOND LONG PRESS OF THIS PUSHER WILL ACTIVATE THE EL BACKLIGHT FOR 4 SECONDS. IN SESSION MODE AND HEAT TIMER A SHORT-PRESS OF THIS PUSHER WILL START /STOP THE TIMER.

PUSHER C : FROM THE HOME SCREEN, TOGGLES BETWEEN YOUR 5 PRESET SPOTS, SHOWING DETAILED FORECAST PAGE 1 (TO SEE FORECAST DETAILS PAGES 2 AND 3 FOR EACH SPOT, PRESS PUSHER A FROM PAGE 1).

DEVICE SETTINGS

ALL STANDARD WATCH SETTINGS WILL BE AUTOMATICALLY SET FOR YOU DURING THE SYNC PROCESS WITH THE ULTRATIDE APP. JUST PAIR IT AND GO!

MANUAL SYNC

THE ULTRATIDE WORKS WITH THE APP TO STAY UPDATED WITH THE LATEST FORECAST - NO NEED FOR YOU TO MANUALLY SYNC - JUST ENSURE THE APP IS RUNNING IN THE BACKGROUND ON YOUR MOBILE DEVICE AND THE APP WILL DO THE REST. HOWEVER, FROM TIME TO TIME YOU MAY WANT TO ADJUST SOME SETTINGS OR PRESET LOCATIONS FROM THE APP, AND SYNC THE CHANGES IMMEDIATELY TO THE WATCH; TO DO THIS, SIMPLY PERFORM A MANUAL SYNC BY LONG PRESSING PUSHER C FOR 3 SECONDS. YOU WILL SEE "CONNECTING" AND THEN "SYNCED" AFTER SUCCESS. IF YOU EXPERIENCE ANY ERRORS DURING SYNC, PLEASE ENSURE THE APP IS RUNNING AND TRY AGAIN.

OTHER SETTINGS

IN ADDITION TO STANDARD WATCH SETTINGS, YOU CAN ALSO CUSTOMIZE YOUR WATCH BY CHANGING THE FOLLOWING:

1. DETAILED OR SIMPLE VIEW? CHOOSE YOUR MAIN SCREEN:
   CHANGE YOUR HOME SCREEN BETWEEN A DETAILED OR SIMPLE VIEW.

• PRESS AND HOLD PUSHER A FOR 3 SECONDS TO ENTER SETTING STATE > PRESS PUSHER A TO NAVIGATE THROUGH YOUR SETTINGS OPTIONS, GO TO "MAIN SCREEN", USE PUSHERS B AND C TO TOGGLE BETWEEN "SIMPLE" AND "DETAILED" OPTIONS.

2. BLACK OR WHITE? INVERT THE DISPLAY:
   INVERT THE DISPLAY ON YOUR ULTRATIDE TO HAVE EITHER BLACK OR WHITE FONT.

• PRESS AND HOLD PUSHER A FOR 3 SECONDS TO ENTER SETTING STATE > PRESS PUSHER A TO NAVIGATE THROUGH YOUR SETTINGS OPTIONS, GO TO "INVERT DISPLAY",USE PUSHERS B AND C TO TOGGLE BETWEEN "ON" AND "OFF".

PRESS AND HOLD PUSHER A FOR 3 SECONDS TO ENTER SETTING STATE > PRESS PUSHER A TO NAVIGATE THROUGH YOUR SETTINGS OPTIONS, USING PUSHERS B AND C TO INCREASE OR DECREASE EACH VALUE, RESPECTIVELY.

1. LOW BATTERY WARNING : YOU HAVE 20% BATTERY REMAINING. WHEN YOUR BATTERY REACHES A CRITICAL LEVEL, YOUR WATCH WILL POWER DOWN AND INDICATES IT IS TIME TO SEND IT IN FOR SERVICE. CONTACT NIXON.COM/SUPPORT
2. SESSION/HEAT TIMER INDICATOR : INDICATES YOU HAVE EITHER A SESSION OR HEAT TIMER RUNNING. FOR BEST BATTERY PERFORMANCE, DO NOT LEAVE UNNECESSARY SESSIONS OR HEAT TIMERS RUNNING.
3. BLUETOOTH INDICATOR : INDICATES YOUR WATCH IS GETTING UPDATED DATA FROM THE APP. IF THERE IS AN X OVER THIS ICON, IT MEANS YOUR WATCH IS OUT OF RANGE OF THE APP AND NEEDS TO SYNC.
4. ALERT INDICATOR : TIME TO SURF! THIS MEANS ONE OF YOUR ALERT CRITERIA IS MET.

5. GEO-LOCATED SPOT : INDICATES THIS SPOT IS THE CLOSEST SURF SPOT TO YOUR CURRENT LOCATION.

SESSION SCREEN

To get to the SESSIONS SCREEN, From the HOME screen press PUSHER A 2 times.

Use this screen to track your sessions. Before paddling out, START A SESSION. When you return within range of the Ultratide App, sync and save the session to your Surf Journal. Upload photos, save the board you surfed, edit details, leave comments or notes, and share the session with your Facebook, Instagram, or Ultratide friends - Or just keep it a secret...

The Ultratide will save all the Surfline forecast details for the exact time of your session, and make them available for you to review later - you can quickly and easily setup a custom surf alert based on the Surfline data with the one touch alert setup, or just keep it in your journal as a reminder of how a specific board worked for the conditions. Use this tool to help you plan when and where to surf, and what equipment to use - or just to brag about an epic score...

1. START/STOP SESSION : Press pusher B to START and STOP your session. The timer will begin. You can leave this screen, and return to it at any time.
2. SAVED SESSIONS : This will display the # of saved sessions waiting to sync with the App
3. IMER : This is the active time of your current session
4. WAVE COUNTER : Use this to manually track your wave count. Press pusher C to log a wave.
5. STOP : Stop your session when it is done. Then select SAVE to save the session on your watch. Next time you're in range of your device, you can save the session and edit details.

HEAT TIMER

To get to the HEAT TIMER SCREEN, From the HOME screen press PUSHER A 3 times.
The heat timer is a customizable countdown timer. It is customizable up to 60 minutes, in 1 minute resolution.

1. TIMER : This represents the countdown time remaining. The timer will countdown in 1 second intervals from time indicated, until it reaches zero.
2. START/STOP TIMER : Press to START/STOP the timer.
3. CHANGE / RESET : Press this to change the countdown time. After the timer has started and stopped, RESET will appear here. Press RESET to reset the timer back to original start time.

CARING FOR YOUR DEVICE

• Please refer to the watch case back for your watch's water resistance rating, or our website: www.nixon.com
• All Industry standard watch testing is done to an overpressure situation in a static laboratory environment and does not signify a diving depth. Because surfing is NOT a static sport there are many outside influences that can effect a watch's ability to remain water resistant - such as large wipeouts, sudden pressure forces and changes due to large waves, salt water exposure, etc. These can all impact the water resistance performance of your watch. The water resistance of this watch is attained using rubber or plastic seals, which will deteriorate under normal conditions and reduce the water resistance of your watch. These seals should be checked by an authorized Nixon repair center to at least every two years to ensure the rated water resistance.
• NEVER PUSH A BUTTON OR SET THE WATCH WHEN IT IS SUBMERGED UNDERWATER
• Rinse watch with soap and water after exposure to salt water or sand.
• Replace the battery when advised. The Ultratide will notify you when your battery level is at 20% with a low battery icon on the home screen. When your battery power reaches a critically low level, the watch will power down and direct you to contact your local Nixon service center for a battery replacement (nixon.com/support). Dead or low batteries left in a watch may leak and destroy the movement of your watch.
• Do not expose your watch to extreme temperatures (over 60 C or 140 F, under -10 C or 14 F) and avoid extreme shocks. No hot tubs or saunas either. Sorry, but do you really need to know the time when you're tubbing?
• Avoid exposing the watch to cleaning solvents, spray sun-screen, aerosol sprays, and other chemicals at they will damage the finish.
• Never try to open the watch - leave it to a trained and certified professional.
