PARTS CHECKLIST

Your package should contain the following items:
Checklist

INSTALLATION AND SETUP

Your telephone can be mounted on the wall or placed on a table. After you decide which type of installation you want, refer to the appropriate installation diagram.

DESKTOP INSTALLATION

Desktop Installation

  1. Adjust the RINGER volume switch to the desired setting. Default setting is HI.
  2. Set the Flash time switch (600ms, 300ms, 100ms) to the appropriate setting. Default setting is 600ms.
  3. Plug the handset cord into the handset, and into the telephone jack on the left side of the unit.
  4. Plug the telephone line cord into a modular jack (RJ11C) and into the LINE jack on the back of the unit.
  5. Place the handset to base cradle.

WALL MOUNT INSTALLATION

The telephone can be mounted on a wall phone plate (not included).
Wall Mount Installation

  1. Adjust the wall mount knob on cradle of base of apply to wall mount.
  2. Place the base to the wall mount plate.
  3. Plug the handset cord into the handset and into the unit, and then hang up the phone.

USING FEATURES

MAKING A CALL

  1. Lift the handset and wait for a dial tone.
  2. Dial the telephone number using the keypad.

RECEIVING A CALL
Lift the handset to answer the call.

RINGER VOLUME CONTROL
Use the RINGER volume switch on the back of the base to adjust the volume of the ringer.

Buttons Overview
MUTE BUTTON (Fig. 4a)
Press and hold the MUTE button to mute the microphone during a call.
PAUSE BUTTON (Fig. 4b)
While dialing a number press pause button to insert a pause, which will also be stored in the redial memory.
FLASH BUTTON (Fig. 4c)
Press the FLASH button instead of using the hook switch to activate customer calling services such as call waiting or call transfer, which are provided by your local phone company.
REDIAL BUTTON (Fig. 4d)
Redial the last number you called by pressing the REDIAL button after you get a dial tone. Maximum digits of redial is 32.

TROUBLESHOOTING

PROBLEM SOLUTION
No dial tone
Won't dial out
  • Check hook switch to make sure it pops up.
  • Make sure TONE / PULSE is set to correct position.
Can't be heard by other party
  • Make sure phone cord is securely plugged in.
  • Make sure other phones aren't off the hook at the same time you're using the phone. It is normal for the volume to drop when additional phones are used at the same time.
