Changing the coolant

WARNING
Risk of injury due to hot fluid
Coolant reaches high temperatures during operation and causes scalding if touched.
For this reason:
S Always wear protective gloves when holding the coolant drain plug.
User tip
Use a container with a capacity of at least 100 litres when changing the coolant.
ENVIRONMENTAL NOTE
Dispose of refrigerant and refrigerant oil correctly.
Draining the cooling system
Only drain the cooling system when the engine
has cooled down as follows:
S Open the cover

of the filler neck onthe
expansion tank.
S Unscrew the protective cap from the drain/filler
valve

S Connect the hose

S Hang the hose

of the pump into a collecting
container
S Switch on the pump and pump out the coolant .
S Switch off the pump.
S Disconnect the hose

S Screw the protective cap onto the drain/filler
valve
