Air die grinder long reach

4.1.4.
clean compressor air inlet filter weekly.
4.1.5.
line pressure should be increased to compensate for unusually long air hoses (over 8 metres). the minimum hose size should be 1/4"
i.d. and fittings must have the same internal bore.
4.1.6.
Keep hose away from heat, oil and sharp edges. check hose for wear and make certain that all connections are secure.
4.2.
couplings
4.2.1.
Vibration may cause failure if a quick change coupling is connected directly to the grinder.
4.2.2.
to overcome this, connect a leader hose to the grinder. A quick change coupling may then be used to connect the leader hose to the
air line recoil hose (see figs.1 & 2).

5. operaTion
Warning! ensure you read, understand and apply safety instructions before use.
5.1.
To mount a grinding tip place the smaller spanner provided across the flats on the shaft (just below the collet) to prevent the shaft from
rotating. loosen the collet using the larger spanner and drop the shaft of the selected grinding tip into the collet. tighten the collet until the
shaft of the grinding tip is securely held.
5.2.
connect the grinder to the air hose as in section 4.
5.3.
Place thumb on throttle safety pin and push forwards and down to start grinder.
5.4.
the bit must be running at its maximum speed before attempting to grind the workpiece.
5.5.
slowly and smoothly bring the grinding stone toward the workpiece (avoid jerky movements).
5.6.
Avoid subjecting stone to excessive strain or harsh impacts.
5.7.
Always hold die grinder firmly and ease grinding stone against workpiece. maintain a controlled progression.
do noT allow grinder to free run for an extended period of time as this will cause accelerated wear.

6. MainTenance
Warning! disconnect grinder from air supply before changing accessories, servicing or performing maintenance.
6.1.
replace or repair damaged parts. Use genuine parts only. Unauthorised parts may be dangerous and will invalidate the warranty.
6.2.
if the air system does not include an oiler, lubricate the grinder daily with a few drops of sealey air tool oil dripped into the air inlet.
6.3.
clean the grinder after use.
6.4.
loss of power or erratic action may be due to the following:
a) excessive drain on the air line. moisture or restriction in the air pipe. incorrect size or type of hose connectors. to remedy, check the
air supply and follow instructions in section 3.
b) Grit or gum deposits in the grinder. if your model has an air filter (located in the area of the air inlet), remove and clean it.
flush the grinder out with gum solvent oil or an equal mixture of sAe no.10 oil and paraffin. Allow to dry before use.
6.5.
for a full service contact your local sealey service agent.
6.6.
When not in use, disconnect from air supply, clean and store in a safe, dry, childproof location.
recycle unwanted materials instead of disposing of them as waste. all tools, accessories and packaging should be
sorted, taken to a recycling centre and disposed of in a manner which is compatible with the environment.
When the product becomes completely unserviceable and requires disposal, drain off any fluids (if applicable)
into approved containers and dispose of the product and the fluids according to local regulations.
