CUTTING HEIGHT ADJUSTMENT
WARNING: ALWAYS block wheels,
engage parking brake and know all
jack stands are strong, secure and
will hold weight of unit during
maintenance.
Cutting height can be adjusted from 1-1/2 –
4-1/2 in. (38 – 114 mm) using the height of cut
(HOC) rods and washers supplied with the
unit. See Figure 18.
NOTICE: If necessary, up to an additional 3/4
in. (19 mm) of cutting height can be obtained.
See ADDITIONAL CUTTING HEIGHT on
page 30.
Holes in the height of cut (HOC) rods are
used to adjust the cut height. The holes are
spaced at 1/2 in. (12 mm) increments. In
addition, spacers are added or removed to
allow cut height adjustments in 1/4 in. (6 mm)
increments.
Grab handles (A) for adjusting height are
located on both sides of the deck. Washers
(E) are mounted on the HOC rods (C)
between the frame (F) and hair pin (D) to
prevent frame wear. See Figure 19.
NOTICE: Plastic bushings are located in the
frame (F) where the front HOC rods (C)
mount. The front HOC rods are larger in
diameter than the rear rods. Washers (E)
and spacers (B) are sized to match HOC
rods.
HOC spacers (B) are stored on the frame (F)
above the deck, under the belt cover. To use,
remove hex bolts (G) retaining HOC spacers
and remove spacers. Replace hex bolts to
storage position.
