Working instructions.

A significantly reduced operating period
after charging indicates that the battery is
worn out and must be replaced.
Battery cooling (Active Air Cooling).
The fan control integrated in the charger
monitors the temperature of the inserted
battery. As soon as the battery temperature
is above approx. 0 °C, the battery is cooled
by a fan. The switched-on fan thereby pro-
duces a ventilation noise.
Charging procedure - Power boost
mode.
In power boost mode, batteries are charged
in rapid-charging mode up to approx. 50 %
battery capacity. Thus, these batteries are
ready for use again in less time than when
charging in standard charging mode.
Charging procedure - Standard
charging mode.
The battery is charged to approx. 100 % bat-
tery capacity. The standard charging mode is
the best combination of fast charging dura-
tion and complete charging of the battery.
Standard charging mode optimizes battery
service life.
During continuous or several successive
charging cycles without interruption, the
charger may heat up. However, this is harm-
less and does not indicate a technical defect
of the battery charger.
If the fan does not run, it is defective or the
battery temperature is < 0 °C. This may
increase the charge duration
With power boost, the battery is initially
charged with a high charging current, which
is then gradually reduced.
If the battery remains in the charger, it will
continue to be charged.
