System Options

The functionality of the imagePRESS V900/V800/V700 can be expanded by
installing system related optional accessories. This section describes the system
related optional accessories and their functions.

3.1 Copy and Print Options

3.1.1 imagePRESS Printer Kit-J1

The imagePRESS Printer Kit-J1 supports PCL5c/6 emulation solutions and Adobe
PostScript 3. The imagePRESS Printer Kit is also necessary to print PDF, JPEG,
and TIFF files that are stored in memory media.
IMPORTANT
• The imagePRESS Printer Kit-J1 cannot be installed with the GBC eWire Pro Wire
Binding System
• The imagePRESS Printer Kit-J1 is not compatible with the Sensing Unit-B1
Advanced Automation Module.
NOTE
• The imagePRESS Printer Kit-J1 is required to use the Job Hold function.
• The imagePRESS Printer Kit-J1 requires the imagePRESS Operating Panel-A1.

3.1.2 imagePRESS P400 Controller

The imagePRESS V900/V800/V700 can be controlled by EFI's imagePRESS
Server P400 Controller. The EFI controller for the imagePRESS V900/V800/V700
includes the following features:
• PANTONE Formula Guide V4 Support – The V4 libraries contain 294 colors
introduced in late 2019. There is no need to download additional libraries to
support the colors.
• Color Profile Use Tracking – The Fiery Job Log lists the profiles for each print
job's output. Operators can compare against historical color profile data to make
color troubleshooting and matching easier.
• More Color Settings in Quick Access – Several new color settings are
available in Quick Access to speed up print job setup.
• Job Search Across All Servers – Operators can locate print jobs on any Fiery
print server in the shop.
• Security Audit Log – Administrators can collect system software event logs to
monitor product behavior and quickly address security-related issues. The logs
are in industry-standard format and integrate with third-party Security Information
and Event Management (SIEM) solutions.
